Yours will depend on your postcode, rewards have end dates and prices change, so check the deal on the day you buy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"cbp-stats\"><div class=\"cbp-stat\"><b>&#xA3;24<\/b><span>cheapest broadband and phone deal we found (Sky Full Fibre 150)<\/span><\/div><div class=\"cbp-stat\"><b>&#xA3;26 to &#xA3;48<\/b><span>a month Ofcom says households save by bundling, on average<\/span><\/div><div class=\"cbp-stat\"><b>&#xA3;104<\/b><span>added over 24 months by a fixed &#xA3;4 rise each spring<\/span><\/div><div class=\"cbp-stat\"><b>31 Jan 2027<\/b><span>BT plans to retire its old landline network<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_a_broadband_bundle_is_and_what_you_can_add\"><\/span>What a broadband bundle is and what you can add<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UK providers sell broadband as the core product and offer add-ons on top: a home phone with call packages, a TV service, or a discount when you also take one of their mobile phones or SIM plans. The bundle is the combination. You pay one provider, usually on a 24-month contract, and the price rises at set points during that contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Short answers first, with links to the detailed guides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Broadband_and_home_phone\"><\/span>Broadband and home phone<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cbp-qa wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How much should you pay for broadband and a landline?<\/strong> In November 2026, new-customer broadband and phone deals started at &#xA3;24 a month (Sky Full Fibre 150, 150Mbps) and ran to &#xA3;38 for Sky&#x2019;s 1.6Gbps full fibre. Vodafone&#x2019;s own site lists broadband and landline from &#xA3;23.50 a month. Those prices include the line but not unlimited calls. New-customer prices are the ones in the table. Once a 24-month contract ends, you move onto the provider&#x2019;s standard price, which is usually higher. Ofcom&#x2019;s figures put that gap at &#xA3;7 to &#xA3;9 a month: in-contract customers spend that much less than the 28% of broadband customers who are out of contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Put a reminder in your calendar a month before your contract ends and compare again. Our guide to <a href=\"https:\/\/comparebroadbandpackages.co.uk\/guides\/broadband-plans\/broadband-and-phone-deals\/\">broadband and phone deals<\/a> has the full shortlist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cbp-qa wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the best broadband and phone deals?<\/strong> The best deal is the one with the lowest total over 24 months, including the April price rises and minus any reward, at a speed you need. The headline price alone will mislead you. For example, BT Fibre 500 and phone and Virgin Media Gig1 broadband and phone both start at &#xA3;32.99 a month and both rise by &#xA3;4 a month each spring, so both cost &#xA3;895.76 over the contract. BT&#x2019;s &#xA3;135 reward (ending 12 November) brings its total down to &#xA3;760.76, while Virgin Media&#x2019;s Gig1 has no reward but gives you more than twice the speed (1,130Mbps against 500Mbps) and weekend calls. Which is better depends on whether you value the extra speed or the &#xA3;135.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cbp-qa wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Which broadband providers still offer a landline?<\/strong> Most of the big names still do. Sky includes landline rental and pay-as-you-talk calls with all its broadband. Vodafone lets you choose a plan with or without a landline. EE sells a Digital Home Phone that runs over EE broadband with no line rental. BT and Virgin Media both sell broadband and phone deals. Plusnet has stopped: its packages are now broadband only. NOW does: its broadband, now &#x201C;Powered by Sky&#x201D;, includes line rental and Sky Talk pay-as-you-talk at &#xA3;0 a month, with calls carried over the internet on full fibre. TalkTalk is now owned by BT: BT Group bought TalkTalk out of administration on 5 October 2026 for &#xA3;400m, protecting about 2.5 million customers. TalkTalk still includes a landline on part-fibre broadband, but its Full Fibre is broadband only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The landline itself is changing. In Ofcom&rsquo;s words, &ldquo;BT plans to retire its old landline network by 31 January 2027&rdquo;, and GOV.UK says the move to digital landlines is expected to be complete by January 2027 for most customers. A digital landline still works like a normal phone, but it plugs into your <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_0db522e294452074795219456b014594\"  href=\"https:\/\/comparebroadbandpackages.co.uk\/guides\/glossary\/router\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>router<\/a> and needs mains power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"cbp-widget\"><div class=\"cbp-widget-in cbp-countdown\"><div class=\"cbp-count\"><b>&#x2013;<\/b><div><span class=\"cbp-badge\">Digital switchover<\/span><div class=\"cbp-cd-t\" style=\"font-weight:600;color:#2b1452\">days until BT plans to retire its old copper landline network (31 January 2027, according to Ofcom).<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cbp-qa wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Can you get broadband without a landline?<\/strong> Yes. Full fibre, cable and 4G or <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_441bca7a6a697c02f290c3c9c1cecaed\"  href=\"https:\/\/comparebroadbandpackages.co.uk\/guides\/glossary\/5g\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>5G<\/a> home broadband need no phone line. Older fibre broadband that runs to a street cabinet (FTTC) and ADSL still use the copper phone line to your home, so line rental is often built into those prices even if you never make a call. See <a href=\"https:\/\/comparebroadbandpackages.co.uk\/guides\/broadband-plans\/broadband-without-landline\/\">broadband without a landline<\/a> for a provider-by-provider list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Broadband_and_TV\"><\/span>Broadband and TV<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A broadband and TV bundle adds a pay TV service, such as Sky&#x2019;s Essential TV on a Sky Stream box or Virgin Media&#x2019;s Flex, to your broadband. In November 2026, Sky Stream with Essential TV, Netflix and Full Fibre Gigafast cost &#xA3;35 a month on 24 months, and Virgin Media M125 Broadband + Flex cost &#xA3;28.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ofcom&#x2019;s February 2026 research found that pay TV bundled with broadband and a landline averaged &#xA3;12 a month, down 23% in real terms. If most of what you watch is on streaming apps, though, you may not need a TV package at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Broadband_and_mobile_or_SIM_only\"><\/span>Broadband and mobile or SIM only<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some providers knock money off your broadband, or add mobile data, if you also take one of their mobile plans. Vodafone, EE, Virgin Media O2 and Sky Mobile all market this kind of combination. EE One is the only one priced outright: 150Mbps full fibre plus an unlimited SIM from &#xA3;41.99 a month. Virgin Media O2&#x2019;s Volt gives perks instead of a discount, and Sky Mobile shows no broadband discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vodafone markets combined broadband and mobile deals as Vodafone Together but didn&#x2019;t publish a combined price we could check. The alternative is to keep broadband and mobile separate and pick a cheap SIM only deal: giffgaff&#x2019;s 18-month SIM only plans start at &#xA3;10 a month for 25GB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Broadband_only_or_a_bundle_which_is_better_value\"><\/span>Broadband only or a bundle: which is better value?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"cbp-qa wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Should you choose broadband only or a bundle?<\/strong> A bundle is better value when you would buy the extra services anyway and the combined price beats buying them separately. Broadband only is better when you rarely use the landline, watch mostly on streaming apps you already pay for, or can get a cheaper mobile deal elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ofcom&#x2019;s research, published on 26 February 2026, found that households that bundle save &#x201C;from &#xA3;26 to &#xA3;48 a month&#x201D; compared with buying the same services separately. Sky&#x2019;s prices can change mid-contract by an amount it doesn&#x2019;t set in advance, so its 24-month totals assume no rise. Expect to pay a few pounds a month more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Ofcom rules, if a provider raises a price by an amount the contract doesn&#x2019;t set out, it must give you at least 30 days&#x2019; notice and then 30 days to leave without an exit fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Community Fibre, which only covers London, appears in comparison tables as &#x201C;150Mbps Fibre Broadband and Unlimited Calls&#x201D; at &#xA3;27 a month, rising to &#xA3;30 in April 2027 and &#xA3;33 in April 2028, &#xA3;726 over 24 months. Despite the name, that listing includes no calls. Community Fibre&#x2019;s own site prices it differently: 150Mbps broadband is &#xA3;19 a month (&#xA3;22 from April 2027, &#xA3;25 from April 2028), and unlimited UK calls are an optional &#xA3;12 a month extra carried over your broadband, so &#xA3;31 a month with calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those calls won&#x2019;t work in a power cut or broadband failure. Check Community Fibre&#x2019;s own price before you sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you claim Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseeker&#x2019;s Allowance or Income Support, check social tariffs first. Ofcom says &#x201C;current prices range from &#xA3;10 to &#xA3;24&#x201D;, and some providers also accept Personal Independence Payment and Attendance Allowance. BT and KCOM also offer cheaper voice-only landline tariffs. The digital switchover<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The old copper phone <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_f4a77d709954af323a24064510e3e6a1\"  href=\"https:\/\/comparebroadbandpackages.co.uk\/guides\/glossary\/network\/\"  target=\"_blank\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>network<\/a> is being switched off. Ofcom says BT plans to retire its old landline network by 31 January 2027. Virgin Media O2 and KCOM plan to retire their old networks too, but have not set dates. You can keep a home phone and your number: it moves onto a digital line that runs through your broadband router.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What changes in practice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list cbp-cards\">\n<li><strong>Power cuts.<\/strong> A digital landline needs mains power and won&#x2019;t work in a power cut unless it has a battery back-up. If you depend on your landline and have no working mobile or no signal, your provider must offer you a free back-up that lasts at least one hour. Some last up to seven hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Telecare and care alarms.<\/strong> If you or someone you look after uses a telecare or care alarm, tell your provider before the switch so it can check the alarm will keep working.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Your number.<\/strong> You can usually keep it on a digital line. Be careful if you drop the landline altogether: Plusnet warns that taking broadband without a landline disconnects the home phone and loses the number for good.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you never use the landline, the switchover is a good moment to drop it. If you rely on it, check your back-up options before the switch. NOW memberships are priced month by month (apart from the six-month Saver plan), so they don&#x2019;t tie you in the way a 24-month TV contract does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Streaming_instead_of_a_TV_package\"><\/span>Streaming instead of a TV package<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A growing number of households skip pay TV and use streaming apps over their broadband. Netflix&#x2019;s UK prices, checked on Netflix&#x2019;s own help page on 31 October 2026, are &#xA3;7.99 a month for Standard with adverts, &#xA3;13.99 for Standard and &#xA3;20.99 for Premium. Add NOW Entertainment at &#xA3;7.99 and Freeview channels through an aerial, and many people get most of what a TV bundle offers without a 24-month commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Streaming puts more load on your connection. Lighter users can usually manage on the entry-level full fibre tiers in the tables above, while a busy household streaming on several screens at once is where the faster 500Mbps and 900Mbps deals earn their price. You can also choose a plan without a landline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>EE:<\/strong> its Digital Home Phone runs over EE broadband with no line rental, and it requires EE broadband. EE&rsquo;s Digital Home Phone packs cost up to &pound;5.73 a month (Pay Per Call), &pound;9.18 (700 Minutes), &pound;20.66 (Unlimited Minutes) or &pound;25.24 (Unlimited Minutes &amp; International), on a 30-day rolling basis (EE price guide, prices from 31 March 2026; some customers pay less).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>EE One:<\/strong> 150Mbps EE Full Fibre plus an unlimited No Frills SIM costs from &#xA3;41.99 a month plus a &#xA3;30 activation fee, rising to &#xA3;48.49 in March 2027 and &#xA3;54.99 in March 2028. For example, Sky Full Fibre Gigafast at &#xA3;29 plus giffgaff&#x2019;s 25GB plan at &#xA3;10 comes to &#xA3;39 a month. Virgin Media&rsquo;s M125 broadband and phone deal starts at &pound;26.99 and looks cheaper than BT Fibre 300 &amp; phone at &pound;31.99. Over 24 months, Virgin Media M125 costs &pound;751.76 and BT Fibre 300 costs &pound;871.76. But BT&rsquo;s &pound;120 reward brings its total to &pound;751.76, exactly the same, and BT gives you more than twice the speed (300Mbps against 132Mbps).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Virgin Media gives you weekend calls; BT charges 20p a minute. Vodafone&rsquo;s broadband and landline rises are smaller, at &pound;3.50 a month each April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sky is different. Its prices can change during the contract by an amount that isn&#x2019;t fixed in advance, and a rise each spring is likely. When you compare a Sky deal, assume the price will go up and leave headroom in your budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leaving early usually means an early termination charge, so a cheaper deal elsewhere only helps near the end of your contract or once you&#x2019;re out of it. Under Ofcom&#x2019;s One Touch Switch process, the new provider arranges the move and your old contract ends, so you don&#x2019;t have to call your old provider to cancel. Ofcom says the process, launched in September 2024, has been used by over 2 million customers, and 18% of households switched internet provider last year, up from 14% in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check any early termination fee before you agree a switch date. For broadband, the accredited sites are broadbandchoices.co.uk, MoneySuperMarket.com, Broadband Genie and broadbanddeals.co.uk. MoneySavingExpert, whose deal tables we used for many of the prices here, isn&#x2019;t on Ofcom&#x2019;s list. Whichever site you use, compare on the same terms: the same speed band, the same contract length and the total over 24 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bundle is worth having when you&rsquo;d pay for every part of it anyway.
