“IGMP Snooping” is a networking feature that allows a switch to listen in on the Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) conversation between hosts and routers, enhancing multicast efficiency by forwarding multicast traffic only to the hosts that have requested it, instead of broadcasting to all ports.
