Definition of “Multipoint Relay (MPR)” :

“Multipoint Relay (MPR) is a technique used in wireless mesh networks to reduce overhead of flooding messages. In this technique, a node selectively chooses a subset of its neighbors as MPRs to retransmit its broadcast messages, minimizing network traffic and increasing efficiency.”
