Abingdon, UK – 10.12.2024 – Gigaclear, one of the UK’s leading providers of full fibre broadband in rural and hard to reach communities, is finishing 2024 on a high, celebrating a record year of growth.

Abingdon-based Gigaclear has now connected over 130,000 customers to its ultrafast network, and over 40,000 of those have been connected in 2024 alone.

This means that the UK’s largest rural alt-net specialist has increased its customer base by almost 50% in just one year, representing a period of significant growth for the company.

Nathan Rundle, CEO of Gigaclear, said: “Our mission is to bring the fastest full fibre broadband to rural Britain so I am delighted to report that we have connected more hard to reach customers in 2024 than ever before.

“As the year draws to a close, I would like to thank the Gigaclear team for their contributions towards achieving this important milestone and I look forward to continued growth in 2025.”

Chief Marketing Officer Nick Rawlings said: “Reaching the milestone of 130,000 customers is a huge achievement – but we’re not stopping there!

“We have continued to invest in building our network in hard to reach places adding a further 100,000 properties in 2024, which now means we have over 580,000 properties Ready for Service.

“As a result, even more rural homes and businesses can look forward to a new year of ultrafast broadband.”

Gigaclear is committed to communities that are typically underserved and suffering from slow speeds. Building on this year’s record figures will help drive economic growth in 2025, by ensuring that even more rural homes and businesses are benefitting from ultrafast broadband.
