“Fibre Channel Over IP (FCIP)” is a networking technology that allows Fibre Channel communications to be transmitted over IP networks. It enables the interconnection of Fibre Channel SANs (Storage Area Networks) over long distances via existing IP infrastructure, providing data recovery, replication, and backup services.
